Autumn hikes

The autumn hikes around Ortisei offer a unique experience of nature. Until early November, the lifts remain in operation, taking you comfortably to spectacular high-altitude trails. Walk beneath glowing yellow canopies and feel the leaves crunch beneath your feet while the crisp mountain air refreshes your senses. As the sun sets, the alpenglow bathes the peaks and ridges in deep red and purple tones, creating a silent spectacle that leaves you in awe. Come and discover the diversity of autumn in Val Gardena!

Segra Sacun

The Segra Sacun fair is a vibrant autumn festival held in the pedestrianised area of Ortisei's town centre. At the colourful stalls, you can find chestnuts, apples, pumpkins, honey, fruit brandies and handmade crafts. The festive atmosphere is provided by musicians in traditional dress, while couples exchange decorated pears - an old custom that concludes in spring with the exchange of brightly painted eggs. This folk festival combines autumn flavours with Ladin tradition, inviting visitors to stroll and linger.
